Question:
As a former paratrooper, am I eligible to become a member of the NPA/USAPA? 

Answer:
We are sorry. Our membership is open to only those who we consider a Pathfinders.

Question:
I did work in a Pathfinder unit as a clerk. Can I join? 

Answer:
Unless you actually were Pathfinder qualified or performed the duties of a Pathfinder, you may qualify as an associate member.

Question:
I was not Pathfinder school trained at Ft. Benning, but I was trained by a Pathfidner unit on the job (OJT). Do I qualify for membership?

Answer:
Yes, providing you were actually assigned to a Pathfinder unit and responsible for performing actual Pathfinder duties for that unit.

Question:
How much does it cost to join the NPA/USAPA?

Answer:
At the present time, there is no charge for general membership in the NPA/USAPA. We do ask that those wishing an official certificate of membership contribute $10.00 to help cover the cost of the certificate and contributions to help fund our website and research activities are always welcomed.

Question:
I did not serve in the U.S. Military but have served as a Pathfinder with another country. Am I qualified for membership?

Answer:
If you were a graduate of the United States Army Pathfinder School at Ft. Benning, Georgia, then you would qualify as a general member. If you served as a Pathfinder with some other country and have worked with U.S. forces functioning in a Pathfinder role or mission, then you are qualified for associate membership.

Why should I become a member?

Answer:
If you are serving as a Pathfinder, or were a Pathfinder, you are an important part of U.S. military history. Having served with a special group of elite soldiers, wouldn't you want to help preserve the Pathfinder's contributions to our country? Wouldn't you want to help ensure future generations really understand what a Pathfinder is and what our mission is? It is up to us to carry our torch and make sure it stays burning to light the way for others. Why not join us?
